Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and VoxTextor ("VoxTextor", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of voxtextor.com and the seller of Pro subscriptions and usage packs. By creating an account, uploading media, or purchasing a plan or pack, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Service

VoxTextor converts audio and video files you upload into text, subtitles, optional translations, and summaries. Output is machine-generated and may contain errors. Proofread before publishing or relying on transcripts. We may add, change, or retire features to improve the service.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
• One person may not abuse free quotas across multiple accounts or devices.
• You are responsible for activity under your account, including uploads, exports, and purchases made while signed in.

3. Acceptable use

• Only upload media you have the right to process.
• No malware, no illegal content, no attempts to abuse free quotas or resell raw API access.
• No URL ripping of third-party platforms; file upload only.
• No processing of content that violates others' privacy or publicity rights, or applicable law in your jurisdiction.

4. Plans, free tier, and packs

• Free includes a monthly transcription-minute allowance and limited export formats. Allowances may change with notice on this page or in-product.
• Pro is a paid subscription with a larger minute allowance and additional features (full export pack, translation, premium model, priority queue, and similar).
• Minute packs and summary packs are one-time purchases that top up usage without changing your plan. Unused pack minutes roll forward until consumed. Pack credits are consumed per use.
• Prices are shown in USD unless otherwise displayed at checkout. Taxes may be added where required.

5. Billing, renewal, and cancellation

• Prepaid. Subscriptions are billed in advance for each billing period (monthly or yearly). One-time packs are charged at purchase.
• Auto-renewal. Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period using the payment method on file, unless you cancel before the renewal date. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the then-current price plus applicable taxes.
• Price changes. We will give reasonable notice of subscription price changes. Changes apply to the next billing period after notice.
• Cancellation. You may cancel anytime in Billing (Stripe Customer Portal) or by contacting support@voxtextor.com. Cancellation stops future renewals. Service continues through the end of the paid period; we do not pro-rate unused days unless required by law or stated in our Refund Policy.
• Failed payments. If a renewal charge fails, we may retry the payment method and restrict or pause paid features until payment succeeds. Continued non-payment may result in downgrade to Free at the end of the grace period.
• Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms as applicable.

6. Refunds

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy. In short: unused one-time packs may be refunded within 14 days of purchase; consumed minutes and credits are non-refundable; subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, except where required by law (including EU/UK consumer withdrawal rights where applicable) or where the service was not provided due to our fault.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of media you upload and of the text we generate for you. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service (including via speech-to-text, translation, and summary processors). We do not use your audio or transcripts to train models. See Privacy and Delete data.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on machine transcripts. Our total liability for claims arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, abuse, non-payment, or legal risk. You may stop using the service and delete your data at any time. Sections that by nature should survive (including payment obligations for already-provided service, disclaimers, and limits of liability) will survive termination.

10. Changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. For billing-related material changes, we will also provide in-product or email notice where appropriate.
